Great mentors! Papou, Papa Ed, Dad (Chip), Mike...
Depends on what work we're talking about... Usually, we try to play to our strengths so, if one of us is better at it they take the lead. Sometimes it's just a matter of who's on watch or who's closest.
Grandpa always said sailing is not fun, it's an adventure. There are challenges every day. The solutions all follow the same pattern...
1) take a breath and assess the situation
2) make a plan
3) share the plan with the crew
4) execute
5) assess & adjust

Same as everyone. Phone, email, social media... We typically have cell coverage, if not we use a Garmin InReach.
Oooohh that's tuff! We have several. Our biggest surprise this year (2024) were the islands in Boston Harbor. There are almost a dozen protected islands with decent anchorages, hiking, old forts, etc. Very cool! We had always bypassed Boston in a race to Maine.
Low key! We love our instapot for meals at anchor. We also love exploring port towns, so we like to be ashore every few days when possible. We are always on the hunt for a good happy hour and buck-a-shucks!
Technically, when we are teaching onboard that is chartering. We do not rent Adventure out as a bareboat charter.
